If you have come in via the home page, you will have seen the shocking news of Chris Dagley's death in an accident yesterday. Many of us will have heard him at so many of Clare's gigs or at Ronnie's in the late evening and will miss his grin and antics as well as his superb drumming. Please add your memories below sothat we can forward them to his family.

Without doubt shocking news, the loss of such a talented, young musician is tragic. We will have long outstanding memories of his unique and exciting style his enjoyment of which was obvious in his cheeky face. We had the pleasure of seeing and listening to Chris's playing probably a hundred times and he always put everything into his performances. We also had the privilege of talking with him on many occasions and he was always a delight with such enthusiasm for music. We will sadly miss him.

Yes - similar sentiments to SVT and V&B. Chris was such a great character to have on stage with a such passion and enthusiasm for music. A great loss to Jazz - we're struggling to imagine going to Ronnie's without him at the back. Still we are both genuinely stunned and shocked at the news.
Our thoughts are with his young family at this time.

My major memory of Chris will be the look of concentration and enjoyment on his face as, eyes closed, he took a solo. His sense of humour, skill and general all round nice guy-ness will be truly missed.

Having been away for a few days, we've only just caught up with this awful news. Like all of us who have been to Clare's concerts for a while now, Chris will always be very well remembered. His concentration in playing made him great to watch & his solos outstanding. Such a short life but packed with more talent than most of us could dream of. His family must be devastated, our heartfelt best wishes go to them. B&L

I have just logged into the home page - sorry it's been a while. I was absolutely stunned to read the news about Chris - I just cannot take it in. We saw Chris many times with Clare and the band and he was always the consummate professional in his playing - but he truly looked as if he was enjoying every single minute and there always seemed to be a cheeky smirk on his face. He has a young family and we can't even imagine their devastation at this time. Thanks Chris for being such a star, you will be missed by so many people. Sincere and heartfelt condolences to your family and friends everywhere. Gillian and Roger x

I only know this, that when such a tragedy impacts on us our humanity is unwelcome and overwhelming. In amongst the feeling of being in a sluggishly frentic parellell universe unexpected moments of strength will emerge and when nothing makes sense you find a child will look at you and ask whats for tea, and it's never going to be the same on one level and yet so alarmingly similar on another. Music will discreetly stay by being your solace and strengh at the most unexpected moments. In time to come when some weeks and months have passed, music will share a secret memory and you may smile some and know they are with you always.

Clare did a tribute to Chris on her Monday BBS show, which can still be heard via iplayer.

Hi Peeps @Boppyfi and were watching First Loves on Sky Arts over the weekend and lovely Chris appeared at Ronnie's backing Meera Syal, who doesn't do a bad job herself. It was strangely gratifying but eerie to see him there doing what he does best. There is a clip: http://www.skyarts.co.uk/video/first-love-meera-syal/also I expect Sky Arts will rerun it soon Twicey
